Lawrence R. Budge Sr. began his career as a Beekeeper when he worked for R.T. Reese as a teenager in Pleasant View, Utah. In 1921 He married Blanche Jensen Budge and they founded Budge’s “Golden Sunshine” Honey and moved to Malad, Idaho, a small but booming farming community  that rests quietly in the corner of south east Idaho in the Shadows the Oxford Mountains. He spent 66 years there raising 9 children, perfecting his craft as a beekeeper, and producing some of the World’s finest pure clover honey. Over the years, the mild, sweet taste and uncompromising quality of Budge’s Honey has made it a mainstay on store shelves, in the home kitchen and on tables in great restaurants all over the Mountain West.
